Large Flat Storage for the Art Room

Request Description: I (Kelly Egger) am requesting a flat file storage unit for storing large and oversized paper, art, student projects, and student work in progress.

Amount Needed: $730 Est.

Positive Impact & Student Benefit: Currently we have one flat file unit that was donated to our department about 10 years ago. This is currently the only way I can store large pieces of paper and art examples that can easily be accessed while teaching. Other storage systems include portfolio storage which is not easily accessible and typically gets put in permanent storage. The flat file unit I have is great, it is sturdy, and fits in the center of the classroom nicely. I would like to add to my current system which I know works but would also allow students to be able to have access to this storage system. The additional unit will allow students to be able to easily access their work on a daily basis without fear of their work being wrinkled or ruined in other storage methods. Students will be able to easily access large paper for use without damage. This unit will free up space in the artroom where students can have a central efficient storage area easily accessible. Many students take art and space is limited, this will help add to the art room flow and safety for student daily activity and art storage.
