About HFEE
The Hayward Foundation for Educational Enrichment - HFEE - was created in February 1994 by a group of individuals who envisioned enriching the education of all students in the Hayward Community School District by providing grants to fund projects not covered by the regular budget.
Examples of our previous endowment grants include an Outdoor Classroom, FitBits and KrankCycle for PE classes, innovative computer software, specialized equipment for special education students, and a waste management system.
Student needs continue to grow; however, state funding sources are decreasing. As HFEE’s endowment increases, we will be able to better meet the needs of the future. We encourage businesses and individuals to make tax-deductible gifts directed to specific projects that enhance the educational experience for all students.
HFEE is operated as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Mission Statement
