About HFEE

The Hayward Foundation for Educational Enrichment (HFEE) was created in February 1994, by a group of individuals who had the vision to enrich the education of all students of the Hayward Community School District by providing grants that would fund projects not afforded in the regular District budget.

The HFEE is operated as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Any gift to the foundation is fully deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes.

Examples of our previous endowment grants are an Outdoor Classroom, FitBits and KrankCycle for PE classes, innovative computer software, specialized equipment for special education students, and a waste management system.

The needs of the students in the district continue to grow while sources of funding from the state are decreasing. We need to increase our endowment so we can meet the needs of the future. We also need to encourage businesses and individuals to make tax-deductible gifts that can be directed to specific projects to enhance the educational experience of all students.

Mission Statement

To enrich the educational experience for all students of the Hayward Community School District by providing grants to the district for innovative educational programs and initiatives that promote and develop outstanding achievement by students and staff.
